Island Symposium
Location: Toronto Islands
Today, most people have lost the sense of sensibility in which architecture can be the medium to bridge the gap and bring everyone together and closer to each other and to nature.
The idea of Symposium will embody a man’s interference with nature in a lyrical way, such that the landscape is embraced to create a harmony of form and detail.
A point where indoor meets outdoor.
Capturing the spirit of the site by using materials that mimic the surroundings.
Keeping the individual always connected with nature
and aware of the surroundings.
Symposium is a facility designed to accomodate 16 students and 5 faculty members for a temporary period on the islands.
